Eggless Tomato Omelette is a delicious Omelette made with Gram Flour, Tomatoes, Onions and Indian spices. A combination of Gram Flour and Tomatoes gives a tasty and succulent Omelette. Batter for this Omelette is made with Gram Flour, Tomatoes, Onions Green Chillies, Ginger etc. that adds flavor to the Omelette. The batter is then poured on hot tawa, roasted from both the sides, and then served hot.

Tomato Omelette is a pure vegetarian Omelette recipe. This all ingredients are easily available at home so this is a fast and easy recipe, which can be made whenever needed, as it does not require any grinding or fermentation process to be done. Tomato Omelette can be had for breakfast or as evening snack also.

Ingredients Quantity
Gram Flour / Besan 1 cup
Water 1 cup
Finely Chopped Tomatoes 1 cup
Finely Chopped Onions 1/4 cup
Finely Chopped Coriander 1/4 cup
Semolina / Rava / Sooji 2 tsp
Asafetida / Hing 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder / Haldi 1/2 tsp
Cumin Powder / Jeera 1/2 tsp
Finely Chopped Green Chillies 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Oil for roasting as required

# Cooking Tomato Omelette | Step by Step
1 In a mixing bowl, take 1 cup of Gram Flour (Besan), 1/4 tsp of Asafetida (Hing), 1/2 tsp of Red Chilli Powder, 1/2 tsp of Turmeric Powder (Haldi) and 1/2 tsp of Cumin Powder (Jeera).
2 Now add 1 tsp of finely chopped Green Chillies, 1/4 cup of finely chopped Onions, 1/4 cup of chopped Coriander Leaves, 1 cup of finely chopped Tomatoes, 1 tsp of Ginger Garlic Paste, 1/2 tsp of Salt and mix well.
3 Then add 1 cup of Water or more if required to adjust the consistency of the batter.
4 Lastly add 2 tsp of Semolina (Rava) and give a nice mix.
5 Furthermore, preheat the Dosa tawa and grease with the Oil by using tissue paper.
6 Pour the ladleful of batter and spread gently to get perfect round Omelette.
7 Add 1/2 tsp of Oil and allow it to roast on medium flame for 5 to 7 Min. or until Omelette turns brown in color.
8 Then flip over the Omelette and roast again on medium flame for more 5 to 7 Min. from other side.
9 Tomato Omelette is now ready to serve hot with Ketchup or Mayonnaise.
