Pani Puri Recipe | पानी पूरी

Today, we have given twist to our favorite street food Pani Puri by making the Water of Pani Puri by Pomegranate and Spinach. Pomegranate contains higher levels of antioxidants, which helps to improve the digestion. This fruits is used from thousands of years as medicine whereas Spinach is a good source of Iron, Magnesium and Vitamins. Spinach contains many nutrients in a low calorie package. It is also important for skin, hair and bone health.

In this recipe, Pomegranate Water is made by grinding Pomegranate Seeds in a blender and then sprinkled with spices. Spinach Water is made by grinding freshly washed Spinach leaves and Mint leaves with Green Chillies, in a blender and then mixed with Tamarind Chutney. And so the Pani for Pani Puri is ready with some delicious and healthy twist.

For Pomegranate Water (Red Pani) Quantity
Fresh Pomegranate Seeds / Anaar 1 cup
Water 1 + ½ cup
Sugar 2 tsp
Black Pepper Powder ¼ tsp
Chaat Masala ½ tsp
Ice Cubes as required
For Spinach Water (Green Pani) Quantity
Spinach Leaves / Palak 2 cup
Water 1 + ½ cup
Mint Leaves / Pudina 7 to 8 nos
Tamarind Pulp / Imli Chutney 2 tsp
Green Chillies 3 to 4 small
Salt ½ tsp
Chaat Masala ½ tsp


# Cooking Pani Puri | Step by Step
For Pomegranate Water (Red Pani)
1 In a blending jar, add 1 cup of Pomegranate Seeds, 2 tsp of Sugar, 1 cup of Water and blend into Juice.
2 Now in a mixing bowl, drain the Pomegranate Juice with the help of sieve (chalni).
3 Add ½ cup of Water in the mixing bowl by just roughly washing the blending jar.
4 Now add ¼ tsp of Black Pepper Powder, ½ tsp of Chaat Masala and few Ice cubes.
5 Mix well and now Red color Pani (Pomegranate Pani) is ready.
6 Serve with Rava Puris filled with Aloo stuffing.
For Spinach Water (Green Pani)
1 In a blending jar, add 2 cup of washed Spinach (Palak) leaves, 7 to 8 nos of Mint (Pudina) leaves, 3 to 4 small Green Chillies, 1 cup of Water and blend into nice Juice.
2 Now in a mixing bowl, drain the Spinach Water with the help of sieve (chalni).
3 Add ½ cup of Water in the mixing bowl by just roughly washing the blending jar.
4 Now add ½ tsp of Chaat Masala, ½ tsp of Salt, 2 tsp of Tamarind (Imli) Chutney.
5 Mix well and now Green color Pani (Palak Pani) is ready.
6 Serve with Rava Puris filled with Aloo stuffing.
