Ingredients Quantity
Guava pieces/ Amrood 1 cup
Jaggery / Gud ¼ cup
Water ½ cup
Oil 4 tsp
Mustard Seeds / Rai ½ tsp
Cumin Seeds / Jeera ¼ tsp
Asafetida / Hing ¼ tsp
Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirchi ¼ tsp
Turmeric Powder / Haldi 1/3 tsp
Coriander Powder / Dhaniya ¼ tsp
Salt ½ tsp
Coriander Leaves for garnishing as required


# Cooking Guava Curry | Step by Step
1 In a cooking pan, add 4 tsp of Oil and allow it to heat nicely.
2 Then add ½ tsp of Mustard Seeds (Rai), ¼ tsp of Cumin Seeds (Jeera), ¼ tsp of Asafetida (Hing), 1 cup of Guava pieces (do not peel Guava just remove seeds and cut into small pieces) and sauté for 2 to 3 Min.
3 Now add ½ tsp of Red Chilli Powder, 1/3 tsp of Turmeric Powder (Haldi), ¼ tsp of Coriander Powder, ½ tsp of Salt and mix well.
4 Then add ¼ cup of Jaggery, ½ cup of Water and give a nice mix.
5 Cover the lid and simmer on low flame for 7 to 8 Min.
6 Guava Sabzi is now ready to serve with Chapati and garnish with Coriander Leaves.
