Ingredients Quantity
Chopped seedless Dates / Khajur 1 cup
Chopped Walnuts / Akhrot 1 cup
Milk 1 cup
Khoya / Mawa ¼ cup
Sugar ¼ cup
Clarified Butter / Desi Ghee 2 tsp
Cardamom Powder / Elaichi Powder ¼ tsp
Saffron / Kesar for Garnishing as required

# Cooking Date & Walnut Halwa | Step by Step
1 In a cooking pan, add 2 tsp of Ghee and allow it to heat.
2 To that add 1 cup of finely chopped seedless Dates (Khajur) and stir for 2 to 3 Mins.
3 Then add 1 cup of Milk and stir continuously until the Milk is reduced down (approx. 5 Mins).
4 Furthermore, add 1 cup of roughly chopped Walnuts and give a nice mix for 2 Mins.
5 Then add ¼ cup of Mawa (Khoya), ¼ cup of Sugar, ¼ tsp of Cardamom (Elaichi) powder and mix well.
6 Cover the lid and cook on low flame for 2 Min.
7 Dates & Walnut Halwa is ready to serve hot and garnish with Kesar.
